Rap is a type of music genre where an artist utters rhyming words at a certain speed either with the help of an instrumental or not.
However, Kitengela's Douglas Munyendo alias Lal Daggy is doing it with no words at all.
Lal Daggy, who hails from Butere, raps using sign language with the vocals coming from other people or the one they are collaborating with.
The 25 year old, just like others, says just like the other upcoming musicians that he had to beat all odds to at least come to the limelight.
Upon reaching Nairobi he first started recording at River Road before meeting Genge rapper Nonini who he has since done a collaboration with called 'Crime'.
He had also collaborated with Congolese musician Soki.
According to Daggy, he lost his speech and hearing abilities at the age of 3, before his mother took off leaving him with his father but has since found encouragement from Rapper Rabbit and Avril who have also agreed to work with him.
He advises aspiring musicians to hold onto their dreams and called upon radio and television personalities to support them by playing their music.
He also hopes to be an international rapper some day.
