Nandi Senator Stephen Sang is the youngest candidate to win the Jubilee Party governorship ticket in the ongoing Party primaries.
He is also the youngest governor nominee countrywide.
Should he clinch the governorship seat in the forthcoming general elections, the lawyer-cum politician will also become the youngest candidate to win the governorship seat at the age of 32.
Sang, who declared his interest for Nandi's top seat just four months to the primaries floored political heavyweights in the battle for the Nandi governorship Jubilee Party ticket.
He garnered 68,239 votes against long serving Tinderet MP Henry Kosgey's 36, 425 votes. Incumbent governor Cleophas Lagat was a distant fourth who polled a paltry 17, 559 votes.
He has since thanked Nandi residents for supporting his bid, pledging to right governor Lagat's wrongs during his four and half years tenure.
He has also exuded confidence of clinching the seat during the forthcoming general elections.
