It was a relief to Vincent Bett, a 23-year-old Moi University student pursuing an Information Science course who made a whooping sh120,000 on gambling on Sunday.

Bett, a known gambler within the institution could not hide his joy after the astonishing money he made just within some days.

"Am a happy man now, I could not imagine that I had won that whopping amount of which I have been waiting for a week," said Bett.

He revealed that he had deposited Sh1000 to his Sportpesa account and placed a running bet lasting for one week.

"It was on Monday when my dad sent me Sh3000 for rent but seeing most of the best matches playing throughout the week, I decided to deposit Sh1000 in my account and placed games totaling fifteen with a possible win of sh120,000," Bett said.

It was only by Sunday that the student was waiting for one game to be played.

"All my games were done, the only game I was waiting was Austria versus Brazil and with God's favor my team, Brazil won three goals to nil," he narrated joyously.

Apart from gambling Bett also operates a cyber cafe on the outskirts of the institution where he has been trying to make a living there and says the cash won through betting will boost his business.

"This good amount will make me expand the already booming business where I make a close to Sh2000 daily," he said.

The is also able to pay his school fees with the money he earns from betting and the cyber cafe business, relieving off his parents.

"To my fellow jobless youths, do not sit and wait to be employed try any good job," he advises.
