Kariuki, who is the last born in a family of four started his business one year ago after joining campus due to his passion in making money for his survival in university.

“I was passionate about making life comfortable in university without depending on my parents and also grow my music talent,” he said.

With Sh500 from his personal savings, Kariuki bought second hand clothes and shoes from Gikomba market in Nairobi. He then marketed them through social media and since then he never looked back.

It is through this platform that he gets his customers where he delivers to their door steps within Nairobi and Kisii regions.

“I deliver clothes in Kisii and Nairobi regions depending on what my customer has booked. This has enabled me make tremendous profits. I make up to Sh2,000 per day,” he said.

He says his hustle has made his life in campus independent as he pays all his bills including paying for his music recordings, video shootings and also support his parents.

However, he has undergone various challenges in his businesses as he has to balance between his  job and studies which consumes a lot of time causing delays in delivery and debt from his clients which has slowed his growth.

“There is no job for you when you sit down waiting for employment. You need to be focused and creative in an idea,” he said.
