SIx years ago the people of Kibra bade farewell to Opposition leader Raila Odinga who was their representative in parliament and ushered in the young Ken Okoth.

Back then many people underestimated Okoth and opined that he would not fill the big shoes left by his predecessor.

The youthful MP, however, proved them wrong as he revolutionised Kibra and brought many development projects to the area.

Okoth improved the education system in the slum by using the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) to renovate and purchase learning equipment for his constituents. 

In February, the MP officially the Multi-million Mbagathi Girls Secondary school that was build only using CDF.

The MP has also conducted a number of projects in Kibra that include; cleaning up of the slum, and improved sewerage facilities.

A part from is good development track record, Okoth is also vocal in the National Assembly and in opposition affairs.

His development agenda and specifically the fight to improve education of Nairobi ands and Kenyans at large has endeared him to the city residents.

The changes Okoth has made in Kibra are outstanding as compared to all the other legislators from Nairobi.

His integrity is above board, his love for development is unquestionable and finally his dedication to improve Kibra is unstoppable making him the best legislator in Nairobi county.

Going into 2022, Nairobi governor Mike Sonko should watch out for Okoth.
