An anti-riot police officer has touched many hearts after taking a moment to rescue an old woman from the mayhem in Kibra.

The officer took his time to lead the woman who had come to cast her vote to safety. She was caught in police running battles on Thursday, October 26.

The helpless woman cried for help from the anti-riot police to save her the wrath of the battle in the area that became a battleground after the Nasa supporters blocked roads to deter IEBC officials and Jubilee supporters from accessing the polling station.

The opposition engaged police in continued battles and according to the police report, the Nasa politicians in the area had instructed the residents not to allow any voting activity to take place in the area.

When the matter worsened, more security officers were deployed to contain the situation. Some of the journalists were also attacked by the demonstrators but the anti-riot police managed to have the polling station opened.
