Kenyan born Ivy Owino alias DJ Poizon Ivy is doing it big in the American basketball arena thanks to the latest deal she signed that saw her be the first woman ever to DJ at NBA all-star games that took place in Los Angeles early this year.

Born in Nairobi in the early 90s before she relocated to the states in pursuit of studies, the DJ first got her big break hosting her own self-titled online radio show “poizon  Ivy after dark” on Marquette university student ran radio.She however gained critical acclaim and acceptance in the greater Milwaukee area where her university is situated, a move she greatly attributes to the success of her radio show according to her website.

DJ Poizon Ivy has shared the stage with some of the most celebrated names in music including: Nas, Wiz khalifa, Lupe fiasco, J.cole, Juicy J.

The icing to the cake of her self-made success is when she was selected as the official DJ of the Dallas Mavericks team, a deal which would see her perform in front of thousands of basketball fans on a regular basis and off course smile all the way to the bank.

When she is not thrilling her fans at games, she is an avid advocate for women to pursue careers in the men dominated industry in conjunction with various nonprofit organizations.
