The Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji is now the man to watch after files relating to the shocking plunder of public resources at the National Youth Service (NYS) and the National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) were handed over to him.
Noordin Haji was nominated by President Uhuru Kenyatta to lead high-profile prosecutions after the departure of Keriako Tobiko.
But who is Noordin Mohamed Haji the man Kenyans are relying upon to bring the perpetrators of the twin NYS and NCPB scandals are brought to justice?
Noordin Haji hails from Garissa County
He is the son of the current Garissa Senator and former Defence Minister Yusuf Mohamed Haji.
He previously served as the Deputy Director of the National Intelligence Service where he was fished from by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
His nomination was plagued by conflict of interest claims given his father's affiliation to the governing Jubilee Party.
He was born on July, 3, 1973 in Malindi, Kilifi County.
His professional experience spans many years as a State Counsel, Legal Officer, investigator, analyst and administrator.
