Amos Boaz has been an outstanding student at Kisii University whose dream is to ensure he promotes talents within the young and upcoming artists.
The third-year student taking a Degree in Biomedical is commonly known as 'Hammer Hammer' due to his outstanding passion in the entertainment industry.
"Hammer Hammer means something strong. I am strong and ever passionate to ensure the entertainment industry is well catered for," said Boaz.
Boaz is a practicing DJ and one of the best emcees in Kisii county which has made him win different gigs in the region including corporate events within the university.
With his determination, he has been on stage with various celebrated artists including; Nigerian-Kenyan based artist Victoria Kimani, Nameless, Timmy Tdat among others.
He is currently working on an ultra modern studio in Cherangany constituency, Trans Nzoia County which cost Sh1.5 million. The studio, according to the student is meant to help the youths record their music and videos without the hustle of traveling to the Nairobi as it is now.
"My area MP Joshua Kutuny is facilitating my dream to ensure my ultra modern studio is on and on track to record," Boaz said.
However, his journey has not been easy as he faced various challenges in the entertainment sector.
"When I was starting and young in the industry, people did not believe me with neither the microphone nor the turntable but I kept doing. I have realized that fighting till you make is what the youths need," Boaz said.
He is concerned that many youths have remained unemployed as they do not utilize their talents.
