A memorial service for the two missing victims of Lake Nakuru helicopter crash will be held on Saturday, Senator Susan Kihika has said.

Kihika said the service will be held along the shores of the lake after weeks of unsuccessful search of the bodies of the two crash victims.

The helicopter they were in crashed into the lake shortly after take off from a hotel in Nakuru town on October 21 last year.

On board were five people.

Search teams tasked to find the bodies of the victims by the time they closed work had only managed to collect three bodies —those of Veronica Muthoni, pilot Apollo Malowa and Anthony Kipyegon.

The bodies of John Ndirangu (Mapozi) and Sam Gitau are still missing.

"This Saturday, (February 10), we join family and friends of our two departed colleagues John Ndirangu (Mapozi) and Sam Gitau (Sam G) for a Memorial Mass," Senator Kihika said.

"The memorial service will be held at Lake Nakuru from 9am. All are welcome to join families and friends in prayers for our two friends."

Ndirangu and Gitau worked for Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika as bloggers or media team.
