Kajiado Central MP Elijah Memusi says he will not be intimidated by local politicians and vows to give fallen Interior CS Joseph Nkaissery a befitting send off.
Nkaissery, who served in the constituency for three terms died on Saturday in what doctors’ claim was a severe heart attack.
And Memusi, who succeeded him in Kajiado, has warned rival politicians against targeting opposition politicians during the Saturday’s funeral.
“I cannot be intimidated by local Jubilee politicians. Nkaissery belongs to all of us and I must be ready to give him a nice send off,” he said.
“It is wrong to politicize the death of such a worrier. He served both the opposition and government and there should be no discrimination,” he added.
On Sunday, Memusi and Kajiado Governor David Nkedienye were locked out of Nkasissery’s compound by family members and only Jubilee politicians were allowed to access the premises.
Before his death, it has emerged that Nkaissery had planned to sue the two politicians for allegedly linking him to a fire tragedy that saw ODM offices burnt in Kajiado.
