Kajiado Central MP Elijah Memusi has warned Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery against issuing arrest threats on ODM leader Raila Odinga.

For a couple of days now, Nkaissery has been a leading a team if Jubilee members putting Odinga on notice over alleged hate speech remarks.

Speaking on Monday in a press conference at Capitol Hill, Memusi slammed the CS as ‘ignorant’ and challenged him to ‘wake’ up from sleep.

“I do not know what is wrong with my friend Nkaissery. He has been spoilt with the system that has infringed the rights of Maa community,” he said.

“I dare him to come and arrest Odinga. I wonder why when Uhuru Kenyatta tells Kikuyu’s not to sell their land is not a crime but it’s a crime when Odinga advises Maasai. Let him wake up,” he added.

Last week during a campaign at Kajiado, Odinga warned the local community against selling land to outsiders.

But on Monday, Odinga defended his sentiments claiming that his message was in good faith and only cautioned locals against being hoodwinked to sell land at cheap costs.
