Igembe South MP Mithika Linturi came to the defense of  Deputy President William Ruto over the latest news that he sired out of wedlock.Linturi was speaking on Thursday during Citizen TV Opinion Court political show. The MP said that most men especially influential ones are always in peril from women."What we need to also ask ourselves is whether this woman or anybody else that may have a kid or a legal suit against any other senior politician whether these women are genuine because some of them realise with the kid they have an opportunity to enrich themselves unjustly and this are things that politicians go through all the time," said Linturi. The Igembe South legislator also alleged that the responsibility to give birth lies with the mother."In fact, men are endangered, the decision to bear a kid rest solely on the mother, children can never be accidental. Responsibility to the extent you have a choice to make a decision," said Linturi.Suna East MP Junet Mohamed who was also on the panel disagreed with Linturi's sentiments that the decision to give birth lies solely on the mother."I cannot take the line that Linturi is taking, it takes two to tangle it's not the responsibility of the mother to sire a child you have to do something before, it shows some kind of irresponsibility, negligence, and lack of values," said Junet.DP Ruto has, however, rubbished claims that he neglected her daughter.
