Police in Nakuru are investigating an incident after an OCS threatened to kill Rongai OCPD Japheth Kioko.

According to Nakuru DCIO Japheth Musyoki, Menengai OCS Bernard Wanjala has recorded a statement at Menengai police station over the allegations as detectives launch probe.

Wanjala is said to have walked into a meeting where the OCPD was with other officers, he corked his gun and threatened to shoot the OCPD.

The officers who were in the meeting intervened and rescued the OCPD and later locked Wanjala in the police cell.

Sources said the OCS looked disturbed and during the incident, he said he had an issue he wanted to solve with his boss.

Early last week, Wanjala traveled to Nairobi for personal issues and failed to seek permission from the OCPD.

One of his colleagues said he heard him saying he will not die alone when he returned from Nairobi on Thursday afternoon.

DCIO Musyoki said a disciplinary action has been taken against Wanjala as provided by NPS laws.

He assured that OCPD Kioko is ongoing with work despite the threats.

Kioko declined to comment on the matter saying what happened are among the issues police officers face at work.
