Kenya Farmers Association (KFA) director Kipkorir Arap Menjo has congratulated Moiben Member of Parliament Silas Tiren after he was appointed the chairman of Agriculture committee in the National Assembly

He said he is the right person for the job since he has farmer’s problem at heart.

"Tiren has been the custodian for the rights of farmers since 2013 when he was elected and up to now he still does, he has always been on the forefront by ensuring that farmers reap from their sweat. As farmers from this region we congratulate him and wish him all the best in his endeavors," he said in Eldoret town, Thursday.

"We are now 100 percent sure that the farmers of this country will no longer live a poor life because we know we have one of our own who will present our grievances and come up with solutions. Indeed we are very happy," he added.

He reiterated that while he was a member of the Agriculture Committee in the 11th Parliament he really helped us in ensuring we have farm inputs on time and they expect him to do even more.
