A life was lost at the Kenyatta National Hospital after a patient committed suicide by jumping from the seventh floor.
According to reports, Maurice Chege, was released by the hospital but was not allowed to leave following pending medical bills.
He is believed to have been suffering from acute psychosis which causes one to hallucinate or see delusions.
“We had managed to stabilize him, so much that he was able to hold conversations with his family,” a nurse said as reported by the Daily Nation.
Maurice is said to have died immediately on impact when he took his life own Wednesday night.
Since then his body has been transferred to the mortuary.
In similar news, a woman aged 27, Utawala, Nairobi also committed suicide. The caretaker of her house found the woman's body hung inside the bathroom the house.
Another incident left a man 48 years old dead in his sitting room under uncertain circumstances in Huruma.
