Young, political ambitious students have accused national leaders of neglecting them.
Speaking on Thursday at Catholic University in Kisumu at an event organized to come up with proper student leadership politics, young leaders complained of being neglected.
Fleming Otieno a student and a leader at Technical University urged national leaders to nurture them by sponsoring their ambitions through political advice.
Otieno said that student leadership is supposed to be a platform that acted as bridge to mature politics.
“We need to nurture future leaders. This can only happen when young political ambitious leaders are mentored. College and campus leadership is supposed to be a bridge to mature leadership," said Otieno.
Elias Ogutu from Maseno City Campus echoed Otieno's sentiment where he noted that there is a gap in Kenya leadership.
“We need to promote the young leaders by creating a sense of self belonging, this would act as a path way to future events,” said Ogutu.
