Residents of Kwa Ngila, Kenol, Kwa Mbuu, Kaloleni, and Kalonzani in Machakos county have voiced their cries regarding the demolition of business building in their business centers.
The buildings in these business centers have been marked for demolition to pave way for road construction.
The merchants requested to be informed when this will be done.
“We have shops in Kwa Ngila, Kenol, Kwa Mbuu, Kaloleni, and Kalonzani and they are marked ‘X’ (for demolition), so we are requesting to be informed when that is going to happen,” said Alex Ngila, a resident in the affected area.
The merchants said that they use the centers to earn their living and they have right to be informed matters beforehand. Taking this action without informing them could lead to great losses on their part.
