Meru Senator Kiraitu Murungi has rubbished Meru Governor Peter Munya’s interest in the 2022 presidential seat.

He said there is no way Munya would win the presidential seat if he relied on the Meru votes alone.

“If Governor Munya is interested in running for presidency in 2022 he should be visiting other counties and not relying on Meru votes alone,"  he said.

He added that Meru votes alone cannot guarantee him the presidential seat.

He was speaking yesterday at a church service in Igembe North on Sunday.

The two leaders have been on rivalry since Senator Kiraitu Murungi showed interest in the governors seat come 2022.
