A school bus belonging to St Mary’s secondary school – Miambani was on Thursday morning involved in a minor accident. According to a local daily, the driver of the school was attempting to avoid a streetlight pole before the accident occurred along Kitui School – Airstrip road next to Kitui Teachers college.
There are no causalities reported following the incident. Reports indicate that the bus was supplying election material before the tragedy occurred. The news comes at a time when Kenyans from different parts of the nation are taking part in the ongoing Presidential polls.
The election exercise has continued despite opposition leader Raila Amolo Odinga pulling out of the race citing a plot to rig him out by the Jubilee government and Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
