Microsoft has launched a new program that targets the learning institutions in Kenya as schools integrate to application of digital and technology in their curriculum.
The program dabbed ' Microsoft 365 education ' will consist of a cloud-based package that will include Office 365, Windows 10, an Intune for Education and Minecraft (a game that teaches students lessons on coding.)
According to Microsoft , the new program will aid to make education more interesting and simple as it even seeks to prepare and equip the learners with necessary skills to enable them cope up with the growing technology.
“Microsoft 365 Education is designed to deliver on that need. Millions of teachers and students are already using Office 365 for Education to communicate and collaborate with each other every day,” said Mark East, the Microsoft regional education leader in Europe Middle East and Africa.
The firm also noted that the new product is already being used in 19 African countries with Strathmore University, United States International University-Africa and Catholic University being the current users in Kenya.
Mark East added that they have also launched a modernized and simplified licensing programme that will aid the schools to easily and cheaply acquire the products directly from the company.
