A middle-aged man is currently being held at Gesonso Police station in Kisii South Sub-county for allegedly attacking a woman who declined his sexual advances.
Confirming the incident area chief Daniel Onsongo said the man identified as Dennis Momanyi attacked the woman on Sunday evening after refusing to bow down to his sexual demands.
“According to the woman the man stopped him and requested if they would have the intimacy of which the woman refused that resulted to the man beating her up,” he added.
He said the woman reported the incident to the chief which resulted in him being arrested and charged of insult.
The chief added that the woman has already got a P3 form that will be used against the man once he appears in court.
The chief called upon all area residents to ensure they report any kind of abuse so that the government can take action.
He said that the man will be arraigned in court once the investigations are done.
