A middle-aged man in Egesukari Village near Suneka Township has committed suicide by hanging himself allegedly over his wife’s infidelity.
The body of Richard Onsomu was this morning found dangling on a wire from a rafter of his house by relatives and friends who broke in after one of them came knocking on him and got no response whereas the door was closed from inside.
According to the deceased’s cousin, he had called him yesterday night informing him that he was planning to commit suicide as he was tired of his wife’s sexual improprieties.
He continued that Onsomu had also informed him that he had burnt all his clothes as well as those of his wife Jane (Not real name) and their two children aged seven and two years, adding he was shocked to find him dead by the time he arrived at his house today morning.
Confirming the incident area Chief Kingsley Oirere said one of his workmate passed by so that they can go to work together only to find the man’s door was open and a body was dangling.
“The man on Friday had chased his wife and his two children used to sleep over their grandmother’s place which is few meters away” he added
The body was later retrieved by police and taken to Nyangena Mortuary for further investigations.
