Speaking to journalists in Kiambu county of Friday when she toured Mother of Mercy Children’s home, Nyokabi said the county government will help them get their loved ones back.

Gathecha said that cases of women being mistreated in the Middle East have been rampant, and she is collecting data of any case from the Middle East, to ensure they are flown back in the country safe and sound.

“I am collecting data on women who are mistreated in the Middle East, thus those families should visit my office in Kiambu to report of their relatives in Saudi Arabia,” she urged.

She expressed her concerns of unemployment in the country that has led to the women to look for greener pastures outside the country, where they end up being mistreated and killed by their employers.

“Those people who see the harassment in the Middle East and still have courage to embark on unknown journey are to be blamed as well,” she said.

She assured the residents that plans are underway to tame the brokers in Kenya, who spread lies on the importance of working in Saudi Arabia, saying their days are numbered.

Nyokabi said in partnership with the National government of Kenya, they are working to bar those people and urged the residents of Kiambu that incase such an offer comes, he or she should report to the authority for further investigations before they embark on their journey.
