Gem Member of Parliament Jakoyo Midiwo has hit out at president Uhuru Kenyatta and the National Assembly Majority leader Aden Duale for accusing opposition leader Raila Odinga of hate speech remarks.

Jubilee leaders have called on relevant agencies to probe and arrest Raila for allegedly inciting the Maa community during a Nasa campaign rally in the region last week.

Speaking during a television interview, Tuesday, Jakoyo said Uhuru and Duale should stop pointing fingers at the national Super Alliance (Nasa) flag bearer yet they themselves have also uttered incitement words.

“I have a video and I can play it here that shows Uhuru bragging that he was elected by the Kalenjin and Kikuyu after they fought, is that not hate speech when a president uses an incident  like violence to drum support for himself?” Midiwo is quoted by Tuko.

The ODM legislator further accused Duale of being a hypocrite, noting that he was recorded inciting his constituents in Garissa to chase out a certain community from the area ahead of the August 8 polls.
