Gem MP Jakoyo Midiwo has accused Siaya Governor Cornel Rasanga of trying to influence ODM nominations.
Midiwo claimed the governor has been hosting meetings with selected ODM members at his home in Siaya.
"This is an emerging trend led by Rasanga who consistently invites residents and ODM officials to his home to compromise them ahead of 2017 election," he was quoted by the Star.
"I warn him and those with the same plan to consider meeting party officials in ODM party offices, not their homes."
The Gem lawmaker called for transparency in the coming ODM nominations set for February.
Midiwo is locked in a power tussle with the governor who he accuses of mismanaging county resources.
He has openly declared his support for Rarieda MP Nicholas Gumbo who intends to challenge Mr Rasanga for the seat of governor in 2017.
