Gem MP Jakoyo Midiwo has criticized Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho of not informing Governor Okoth Obado before he led his team to Migori.
Midiwo, Deputy Minority leader, argued that it was wise for Joho to inform his Migori counterpart before leading his brigade to the region to avoid violence as witnessed during his tour.
The outspoken legislator, who spoke at Magare Primary School during the funeral of Muhoroni MP Onyango Koyoo's mother Ludia emphasized that leaders from the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) must act cautiously as they head to nominations.
"Our Deputy Party leader ought to have had courtesy to inform the Migori governor he was heading to his county," Mr Midiwo said, as quoted by Nation.
His sentiments were reiterated by Kisumu West MP Olago Aluoch who said that the political outfit cannot afford to witness such incidences in future.
"It was bad to see leaders hide under the podium in Migori when chaos broke out," he said. The leaders were accompanied by Kisumu deputy governor Ruth Odinga and MPs Shakeel Shabbir (Kisumu East) James Nyikal (Seme), Jared Kopiyo (Awendo), Nicholas Gumbo (Rarieda), and Women Reps Gladys Wanga (Home Bay) and Rose Nyamunga (Kisumu).
