After declaring recently that he will name his preferred candidate for the Siaya County gubernatorial seat in 2017, Gem MP Jakoyo Midiwo has settled on William Oduol.
The lawmaker was quick to reconcile with Oduol, a man he was opposed to during the 2013 polls.
Since then, Midiwo has fallen out with Mr Rasanga amid claims that the Governor is misappropriating the county resources for individual and selfish gains.
"I do not have any problems with Oduol and I have gone on radio to publicly apologize," Midiwo was quoted by the Star as saying.
According to Midiwo, despite the fact that all political bigwigs in the county campaigned against Oduol, Rasanga managed to defeat him by only 3,000 votes and he believes that the county's political landscape will tilt by December.
"Oduol is a tough candidate to defeat even in my Gem constituency," the Deputy Minority leader in the National Assembly added.
Speaking at the same event in Gendro Secondary School, Alego/Usonga constituency on Friday during a fundraiser, Oduol warned Rasanga to be ready for a tough duel in 2017 and that with Midiwo's endorsement, he is expecting a landslide win.
