A furious Jakoyo Midiwo has accused nominated MP Oburu Odinga of allegedly auctioning ODM certificates to highest bidders in Nyanza region, a move that has caused a serious crisis in Orange House.
Even though some of the controversies surrounding the recently concluded nominations have been addressed, a number of disgruntled party members have vowed to teach the party a lesson in August.
And on Saturday, ODM Election Appeals Board nullified certificates issued to Kisumu Governorship aspirants Anyang Nyong’o and Jack Ranguma with similar decision affection Homabay Governor Cyprian Awiti whose certificate was recalled.
“The problem with OD in Nyanza is Oburu Oginga. He is the one auctioning certificates to highest bidders. He has messed with us.
“He prefers some candidates who have even lost in an election and this is really bringing confusion,” added Midiwo who has also contested Gem constituency results where he had reportedly lost.
Oburu, the eldest brother to opposition leader Raila Odinga, reportedly lost his bid in Bondo parliamentary elections even though he was later on declared a winner under controversial circumstances.
Also, the elections debacle in Nyanza affected Migori County and Kisumu central constituency whose results have also been contested.
