Gem MP Jakoyo Midiwo has claimed the top leadership of ODM offered him a certificate to stop supporting Nicholas Gumbo’s bid for the Siaya gubernatorial race.
According to Midiwo, he was given the offer on two different occasions but decline.
He said aspirants should be allowed fair chances to vie for seats.
“They called me in Nairobi and persuaded me to take the Gem parliamentary seat ticket but I rejected this condition that Gumbo (Rarieda MP) too be given his,” said Midiwo.
Midiwo endorsed Gumbo and businessman William Oduol for the race.
According to the National Assembly Minority Leader, the two are best suited to spur Siaya to greater heights in terms of development, compared toGovernor Cornel Rasanga.
