Speaking in an interview with Citizen TV on Tuesday, the MP claimed that Uhuru’s government has failed to formulate proper policies to boost the country’s economy.

According to the MP, Kenyans have been overburdened with hefty taxes yet the country’s economy is worsening.

The leader of Minority in the National Assembly says that Kenyans are feeling the pinch of high inflation rate as a result of Jubilee’s poor policy formulation.

Midiwo claims that prices of food stuff and basic commodities have skyrocketed under Jubilee government watch.

“Jubilee government has suppressed Kenyans and failed to cushion them from harsh economic conditions for the last four years,” he said.

He added,” A packet of maize flour was retailing at Sh80 before Jubilee government took power, the same is now retailing at Sh140.”

The MP further criticized President Uhuru’s government accusing it of failing to create employment opportunities.

Midiwo said that unemployment remains a serious challenge in the country.

“Jubilee government promised to create one million jobs every yet thousands of young people are languishing in unemployment,” he said.

The MP further criticized Uhuru’s government saying that it has created a poor environment for business local and international business

He claimed that many multinational companies have closed shop in the country due to Jubilee’s poor economic policies.

The MP said that the National Super Alliance (NASA) will address the economic challenges facing the country if it forms government in August.
