Gem MP has hit out at critics with the view that the opposition will never unite in the run up to the August elections.
Instead, Midiwo says the opposition had no option but to hold together since they have a duty to save Kenyans from what he termed the "oppressive Jubilee government."
"We as the opposition are trying to unite and we are going to unite. For those thinking the NASA idea will not hold, I want to tell them unity is a process and we are going to hold together," he told NTV's AMLive show on Tuesday.
"There is nowhere for the opposition chiefs to run to, Kenyans expect us to deliver them from the oppressive Jubilee regime," he added.
The deputy minority leader also dismissed claims by DP William Ruto that Jubilee had a score card to show Kenyans during their campaign, noting that the administration has let down Kenyans for the four years they have been in power.
He promised that upon uniting, the opposition would come up with a comprehensive manifesto to sell to Kenyans and also prove to them that the Jubilee government had failed to tackle the major issues among them corruption and tribalism facing Kenyans.
"William Ruto said Jubilee has a scorecard to show Kenyans what they have done, but the reality is they have nothing to show Kenyans apart from corruption and tribalism," he said
"Once our unity is done we will come up with our manifesto that will address issues facing Kenyans and that will tell you Jubilee failed Kenyans," he added.
