Gem MP Jakoyo Midiwo has criticized Siaya boss cornel Rasanga for misusing cars belonging to the county boss as he seeks another term in office.

Midiwo, the deputy minority leader, has advocated for the seizure of the six cars being used by the governor during his rallies.

According to Midiwo, spoke on Saturday in Dibuoro Primary Shool in Alego-Usonga, Rasanga has been colluding with other leaders from the county government to give out the cars to ferry goons, dangerous weapons, as well as conduct illegal business in different parts of the nation as the next general poll draws closer.

Rasanga has, however, downplayed Midiwo’s claims terming them baseless and aimed at bringing him down when it comes to politics.

Through his county secretary, Dave Anyona dismissed Rasanga said that the allegations are being propagated by his political enemies.

“I can’t talk about the matter, as it’s not true. I’ve not seen anywhere or reports supporting the claims,” Anyona told the Star on the phone yesterday.

The deputy leader has also asked youths from different parts of the County to impound any of the vehicles found ferrying anything without number plates and then hand it over to the security personnel for a necessary action.

“I’ve taken this up with police and others and hope quick action will be taken,” he added.
