Gem Member of Parliament Jakoyo Midiwo has rejected the outcome of ODM primaries that saw him lose the ticket.
The National Minority Leader lost the ticket to Willis Odhiambo. Odhiambo garnered 13,400 votes while Midiwo got 8,950.
Midiwo, however, rejected the outcome, arguing it was flawed.
“I do not understand the way the Returning Officer would do that. But he says he is under instructions and he will do what the party wants. In my opinion as Jakoyo Midiwo, that is self-destruction,” he protested.
He indicated that the nomination was characterised by massive rigging.
“I want to state that the figures by my agents were not the same with what has been announced. There are numerous irregularities in the whole exercise,” he stated.
Midiwo a close ally of Raila Odinga said that the whole process was flawed.
