Gem MP Jakoyo Midiwo has dismissed speculations that there is disquiet in the opposition coalition, Cord.
Speaking Tuesday during a breakfast show on QFM, Jakoyo said Cord is intact, and will not break up ahead of the 2017 polls as many are predicting.
He added that the recent chaos witnessed during Bungoma Senator and Cord co-principal Moses Wetangula's presidential bid launch at Muliro Gardens last Saturday was a small issue which could not break up the coalition.
The deputy minority leader in the National Parliament also defended ODM party leader Raila Odinga's absence during the launch saying he had an appointment with Tanzania's President John Pombe Magufuli.
In the Saturday incident, scores were injured after some unknown people hurled teargas canisters at Wetangula as he prepared to deliver a speech to declare his State House bid.
