In an interview on the Big Question on Tuesday, Midiwo said that President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto.

He said that under the administration, Kenyans have been milked dry by bad economy and corruption.

''Under this government, the prize of maize flour is soaring high, corruption is on the rise and life has become even harder,'' said Midiwo.

He also accused the government of failing to deliver on most its pre-election pledges.

''They promised 5 state of the art Stadia which we are yet to see with only 5 months remaining, they promised to create millions of job opportunities per year but what we see is firms laying off workers,'' said the lawmaker.

However, in a rejoinder National Assembly Leader of Majority Aden Duale rubbished Midiwo's claims saying that the government has achieved 70%of its pledges.

''We promised improved healthcare and we have done it, maternal care is now free courtesy of the Jubilee government, we have improved the ratio of police to citizens and improved road network. The government is on track and more will be done after we win the second term,'' said Duale.
