The alleged procurement of election materials by the troubled IEBC commissioners has angered Gem MP Jakoyo Midiwo who has told the opposition this is the best time to go to the street to protest against the procurement.
The legislator said in the event Cord relents on the matter, they may end up facing the same challenges faced by IEBC in the 2013 general election.
"For us in Cord, this should the best time for us to take to the street to reject this move by the IEBC," he told NTV's AMLive show
"Because this is happening as we watch and we will cry after they have achieved their intention of rigging the 2017 elections."
Midiwo also accused IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba of being used by the Jubilee government to hinder a free and fair election in 2017.
"The tone of the CEO of IEBC is the tone of somebody who in his mind has already rigged elections, he is part of the process by the Jubilee government to tamper with the electoral process," he said.
