Midiwo at the same time accused DP William Ruto of lecturing the former Prime Minister saying he has no moral grounds to stop Raila from talking about corruption in government.

"When you hear William Ruto saying that Raila is lying on corruption, it is like a thief  accusing an innocent person of stealing," he said during NTV's AMLive show on Tuesday.

The Minority leader further asked President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy to focus on fighting corruption and stop the constant attacks on Raila.

The legislator said the President's public expression of helplessness in the fight against corruption was a clear evidence of corruption in government and proof that Raila's allegations on the vice were not baseless.

"They have really missed the point, theft is theft  whether in the national or county government. What I expect Uhuru and Ruto to say is that they have zero tolerance to corruption," he added.

"When the President said he was helpless, he admitted that there is corruption and yesterday he was accusing Raila of attacking the government with no basis," he added.
