[Photo| Courtesy]A sombre mood engulfed Nakuru General Hospital as friends and families arrived to identify bodies of their departed ones.This followed a fatal road accident at Migaa a long the Nakuru-Eldoret highway on New Year's eve that left 37 people dead and 18 others critically injured.The accident involved a Nairobi Bus Cooperation sacco PSV that was headed to Nairobi from Kisumu and a trailer that was headed to Eldoret.On Monday, friends and families arrived at the hospital mortuary to identify their loved ones after they received phone calls from the Kenya Red Cross Society team that has camped at the facility.Officials said 30 bodies had been identified even as some families lost two or more members of their families.Many survivors narrated how they pleaded with the driver to stop speeding up but he did not listen. They also blamed the police and NTSA officials saying they had stopped the vehicle before releasing it 1km before the accident.
