[Photo|Citizen Digital] Ford Kenya leaders in Migori County have asked the party’s national leadership to kick out Kitutu Chache MP Richard Onyonka from the party.Led by the County Ford Kenya chairman Samuel Migore, the leaders said Onyonka had gone against NASA coalition which sponsored him to parliament by openly supporting Jubilee. This is after Onyonka said he recognises President Uhuru Kenyatta as Kenya's president. The opposition lawmaker who was elected through NASA coalition's Ford Kenya party said he was not supporting NASA leader Raila Odinga's planned swearing in.“The president of Kenya is Uhuru Kenyatta. Uhuru Kenyatta was legally sworn in as president and handed the instruments of power. He is the one in charge of the police, military, public funds and the entire country,” the MP told the press, Tuesday at parliament buildings.“As an MP from Ford-Kenya, which is in NASA, I have a problem with how the last election was conducted but I cannot say that I don’t recognise Uhuru as the president since he was sworn in," he added.Onyonka said NASA swearing in may go on but he does not support it since Kenya already had a president.“While NASA says they would like to swear in Raila Odinga to be the people’s president, I have no problem with that but personally I know the country’s president is Uhuru Kenyatta,” said Onyonka during a press briefing convened by Kisii leaders to thank Kenyatta for re-appointing Dr Fred Matiang’i to the Cabinet. The Migori Ford Kenya lawmakers demanded that he be expelled from any opposition leadership position that the legislator holds.“It is also said that Onyonka is a deputy party leader in Ford Kenya. We don’t know when he was given that post,” Migore said. They asked Onyonka to apologise.
