The candidate identified as Martine Odhiambo was nowhere to be found shortly after he left for home from school on Tuesday.
Speaking to members of the press at the school, the principal of the school, Gideon Odhiambo, said that he learned of one of Martine’s absence from one of his schoolmates who reported to him that Martine had texted her saying that he had been abducted.
“I am also following reports from his friend that missing candidate was abducted into a probox car and drove off to Ogwedhi around 10kilometres away from his home,” Odhiambo said.
The student has according to the head teacher missed his Christian Religious Education paper two that he was to write today.
The student’s mother Susan Adoyo Odhiambo said that her son left the home at 8 P.M yesterday (Tuesday) and never came back.
Migori County Criminal investigation officer Benedict Kigen said that the police are aware of the incident and have launched investigations.
