Residents of Migori County have rejected Senator Wilfred Machage's plea that voters in the county support Jubilee in 2017.

Those who spoke to this writer said the region supports Cord.

"Migori is a Cord zone and anyone who thinks that we will support Jubilee is mistaken," Kevin Onyang'o said.

"Our candidate will come from Cord for the post of President."

Caroline Anyango said the county will support Cord.

"Machage can go ahead to support Jubilee. But for us we are with 'Baba' (Raila Odinga)."

Machage a week ago told residents of the county to support Jubilee if they want development to be realized in the county.

"We as a community are in ODM. Jubilee has failed to deliver and we are happy that we are not part of it. Senator Machage should know that we are not with him," another resident, Alphonse Ambone said.

Migori is among the counties where Mr Odinga enjoys massive support.
