Migosi residents are set to receive a security boost following the construction of the Migosi/Lolwe Police Post.
The construction of the Police Post was an initiative of the Kisumu Central Constituency Development Fund (CDF) and is set to be officially opened next month.
Area MCA Paul Achayo hailed the move by Kisumu Central MP Ken Obura to put up the post in the area saying that the area needed a security boost to allow residents access security services easily and enhance police patrols in the area.
Speaking to this writer on Tuesday, MCA Achayo said that the Police Post will be officially opened by Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery, Kisumu Governor Jack Ranguma among other leaders.
“This area has not been safe for residents over the last few years and this is why we petitioned the MP to put up a Police Post at this particular point.
We believe that if we increase the number of Police Posts in this county we will have made a major stride towards boosting security,” said Achayo.
The Police Post has been set up near Kondele Primary School and is in its final stages of its completion.
