The area has a number of burst sewer lines leading to sewerage flowing freely, and have accused the county government of neglecting them, even after making several complains over the same issue.

Through their chairman Agul Meshack, the residents are now urging Governor Jack Ranguma to act or they protest against his governance.

“We are fed up of talking about the same issue every day and we are now telling the county government that enough is enough, let us meet in the streets if the county leadership cannot solve this menace,” said Agul.

“We cannot have sewerage flowing freely like rivers in residential estates where people live with their children as it is not healthy at all,” added Agul.

The residents complained about the rise in cholera and typhoid infection cases among their children, and have now given the county government a two-week ultimatum to repair the burst sewer lines or they call for protests against Governor Jack Ranguma.
