NRM general Miguna Miguna is asking supporters to raise money for his return ticket to Kenya and to pay his lawyers.
Mr Miguna, who was deported to Canada following the controversial swearing in of ODM leader Raila Odinga as the 'people's president', is now on a world tour of major cities to make the National Resistance Movement popular ahead of his return to the country.
"Yes; I need an air ticket to return home. I also need funds to repair my destroyed house and to pay my advocates who have been working tirelessly without pay from Feb. 2nd up to now in order to protect my rights. Are you able to contribute? Feel free to do so. Viva! #UhuruMustGo," the lawyer wrote on Twitter.
The high court, sitting in Nairobi, had ruled that Miguna's deportation was illegal and that the government should issue him with a Kenyan passport that was taken away and defaced.
The lawyer, who is also a Canadian citizen, was accused of not reapplying for his Kenyan citizenship when the 2010 constitution was promulgated.
The government has appealed the case against Miguna at the Court of Appeal.
