On Tuesday, Interior CS Dr. Fred Matiang'i, the ministry's PS Karanja Kibicho and Immigration Director Gordon Kihalangwa said that the national ID card Dr. Miguna Miguna holds is illegal.
Appearing before the Parliamentary Committee on National Security at the Continental House, they said late Mbita MP Otieno Kajwang' facilitated the unlawful acquisition of the ID by Miguna Miguna.
Former Education PS Prof. James Ole Kiyiapi however, questioned the utterances by Matiang'i and Kihalangwa on why they didn't present the same details to the courts including the alleged passport fraud.
"... the Ministry of Interior led by CS Matiangi told a Parliamentary Committee their version of the story in the Miguna Miguna JKIA fiasco. Question: why have they NOT given the courts the same details (including alleged passport fraud) from the very beginning?" Professor Kiyiapi asked in a tweet.
While replying to Ole Kiyiapi's tweet, Miguna Miguna said the Interior ministry officials did not provide same information to the courts because they were all lies. He continued to cite that he obtained his National ID card in 1979 back in high school adding that Late Kajwang' had not completed his undergrad by then.
"Professor James Ole Kiyiapi: The tyrants have not done so because they know that it is all a lie. I obtained my National Identity Card in 1979 while in Form One at Onjiko Secondary School. The late Kajwang' had not completed his undergrad. Lies will never fly," Miguna responded.
Miguna Miguna is currently in Canada where he said he is planning to come back to Kenya to launch the National Revolutionary Movement which was initially National Resistance Movement.
