Moments after ugly outburst with celebrated news anchor Larry Madowo of NTV, Canadian based lawyer Miguna Miguna made his first appearance on media interviews at BBC Africa program.
What was meant to be a sober discussion of the current political situation in the country turned ugly when Miguna accused Madowo of bias when he tried to restrain him from violating media ethics.
“Mr Larry Madowo is not a journalist. I am not appearing on his show again. He must adhere strictly with Media Act, 2013,” read his tweet, hours after the live TV outburst.
The former advisor to opposition leader Raila Odinga was appearing in the popular NTV show dubbed Sidebar along with Senators Kipchumba Murkomen (Elgeyo Marakwet) and Mutula Kilonzo (Makueni).
Despite withdrawing from the show, Miguna will made his first come back on media debates on Thursday with the famous BBC Africa morning program.
“I am on the BBC Africa morning program. We are defending constitution and fighting despotism,’ read his tweet.
It is not the first time the controversial lawyer is hitting headlines for fierce exchanges on live TV given his experience with the incumbent Nairobi Women Representative Esther Passaris, a move that led to suspension of the famous JKL Show in KTN.
