Opposition leader Raila Odinga’s former aide Miguna Miguna has affirmed that NASA demonstrations are on track and will proceed as planned.
This comes barely hours after acting Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i banned all the demos in the central business district of Mombasa, Nairobi and Kisumu cities.
Through his twitter handle on hash tag #nasaOnTrack, Miguna told Matiang’i said the opposition demos were justified and constitutional and that he had very little to do about it.
He warned the CS that his days were numbered. He did not elaborate.
“To the fattened Secretary Matiang’i: The demos will continue and there is nothing you can do about it. Your days are numbered.” wrote Miguna.
He said all he stood for is the Constitution, democracy, justice, truth and a credible election.
“I'm standing up for the Constitution, democracy, justice, truth and a credible election. Nothing more and nothing less.”
This comes barely 23 hours after Matiang’i banned anti-IEBC demonstrations.
Matiangi said the ban was meant to protect both lives and property.
