Political analyst Miguna Miguna has thrown his weight behind NASA's recent announcement that it will institute civil disobedience against the government following President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election.

Speaking on NTV Monday, Miguna said that he fully supports and will be part of the alliance's new wing, National Resistance Movement (NRM).

He said that it is the only way to bring the nation back on track following Jubilee's scathing assault on the constitution.

''I am among the Kenyans who do not like the direction this nation has taken. I fully support the NRM and will be one of its leaders as we push for reforms in our country,'' said Miguna.

Miguna further took issue with Deputy President William Ruto's recent remarks.

Ruto while speaking in an exclusive interview on Citizen Sunday accused opposition leaders of engaging in ethnic and divisive politics, blaming them for among others, the violence that led to low voter turn up and boycott of Thursday's elections.

Miguna, however, rubbished these allegations saying that the DP is not in a position to point fingers at others.

''Ruto has never fought for anything in this country. He took part in neither the struggle for devolution, second liberation nor multi-party system and therefore has no moral authority to lecture the opposition on anything,'' said the former Nairobi gubernatorial candidate.
