Lawyer Miguna Miguna has expressed his displeasure with the way the media handled his detention on Sunday.

He said the media failed to report his four hours illegal detention by heavily armed goons on Sunday.

The Canadian-based Solicitor maintained that the media in Kenya was on the government’s side.

Through a tweet on Tuesday, he reiterated that Raila Odinga, ‘The People’s President’ will still be sworn in.

“The ‘Githeri Media’ is in bed with the despotic and illegitimate usurpers of power. They did not report my illegal detention by heavily armed goons in Mombasa for 4 hours on Dec. 17th nor the "reason" for the primitive "security operation." The People's President will be sworn in,” read the tweet.

Miguna was on Sunday blocked from reaching the hotel where NASA was giving a way forward on the People's Assembly.

The Opposition leader was at Kikambala in Kilifi for the People's Assembly Coast Regional Consultative Forum.

The former Nairobi gubernatorial candidate has been a strong critic of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Jubilee government since the August 8th general election.
